Among the types of medication therapy we use in treating cancer pain are:
- Conidine
- Anti-seizure medicines
- Seizure medications
- Anti-inflammatory agents (these are non-steroidal).
- Antidepressants such as tricyclic, SNRI, and SSRI.
Depending on the patient, epidural injections may be beneficial, also. An epidural injection is used for longer lasting cancer pain management and relief. Generally speaking, epidural injections are administered as a series of injections.
